1. Service Description

Bedtale ("Service") is an AI-powered platform that creates personalized storybooks where your child is the hero. Stories are safe, age-appropriate, and culturally diverse. The Service is operated by STUDENT Inc. ("Company", "we", "us").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (a parent or legal guardian) to create an account. Children under 13 may use the Service only under direct parental supervision and with a parent-managed account. By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Terms

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Parent accounts are responsible for all activity under child profiles. You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

4. Subscription & Billing

The Service offers the following plans: Free ($0/month), Plus ($7.99/month), Pro ($14.99/month), and Premium ($24.99/month). Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the billing period.

5. AI-Generated Content

You retain ownership of all AI-generated stories created through the Service. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose. All stories pass through our multi-layer safety system including content filtering and parent approval gates, but generated outputs may vary. Content is provided "as is".

6. Usage Limits

Each plan has specific generation limits: Free (2 stories/month), Plus (8/month), Pro (unlimited), Premium (unlimited with priority generation). Unused generations do not roll over to the next month.

7. Child Safety

We are committed to child safety. All content is generated with age-appropriate filters. Our parent approval gate ensures that stories meet your family's standards before being shown to children. We comply with COPPA and other applicable child protection regulations.

8. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.

9. Refund Policy

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. No pro-rated refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you experience technical issues that prevent use of the Service, please contact support for assistance.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
